Ron owns Drumcoura Equestrian Centre at Drumcoura City since 2001 and it has been an approved AIRE facility for over a decade.  He has been a qualified Level 2 instructor since 2012.  Ron was a past Chairman of the IQHA for four years and now he is an honorary President of the IQHA.  He was instrumental as Chairman of the IQHA in obtaining at a meeting of the Board of Horse Sport Ireland, affiliation for the IQHA. He continues to support the IQHA and the breed of the Quarter Horse.

Ron enjoys teaching Western riding to especially those who have never had any Western riding experience.  With the assistance of a good staff and other qualified instructors, he continues to improve the facilities and the programme at Drumcoura City each year. He started riding horses at a young age in the States where he grew up and while retirement is not far away, Ron still enjoys riding his quarter horses.
