IQHA Spring Show March 2025 – A Weekend to Remember!

St. Patrick’s Day vibes were still in the air as The Irish Quarter Horse Association hosted our 2025 Spring Show and Clinic, March 22nd to 23rd at the amazing Drumcoura Equestrian Centre, in Co. Leitrim. It was a vibrant weekend packed with competition, learning, music, and community spirit, and we’re thrilled to report it was a resounding success!

A Warm Welcome and a Strong Start

From the moment the first horse stepped into the arena on Saturday morning, it was clear we were in for something special. Entry numbers exceeded expectations, with a fantastic mix of experienced competitors and first-time riders. The standard of horsemanship on display was truly inspiring, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made it a joy for all involved.

After a full day of competition, members gathered for a fun-filled evening at Drumcoura City Saloon, complete with:

A delicious BBQ,
Our annual IQHA AGM, where members shared updates and plans,
Followed by live music, dancing, and great craic late into the night!

and it’s no wonder!

Riders received valuable hands on instruction in:

Ranch riding
Reining
Horsemanship
Refining patterns and presentation

Everyone left with new techniques, confidence, and a deeper love for Western riding.
